This was indeed the HOTTEST DANCE NIGHT IN TOWN, with the winter temperature for the Day (11/08/07) was 21.6 degrees, and the previous day (Friday 10th August) was 26.4 degrees. The Function was held at the St. Stephen's Church Hall, in Rooty Hill
The Show started of at 7.15 pm with Band "Right Combination", taking the stage and making everyone get excited for this Lovely Night. M.C and Organizer/Promoter for the Night (Bradford Newbond) made the Announcement that"Phoenix" had arrived in Sydney, leaving the Band to woo the crowd with their Country Rock Music.
Band "Right Combination" gave the 400 + crowd some beautiful music to dance and tap their feet to, while Band "Phoenix" provided lovely Country Rock Music to which everyone was just happy, to be there to see and hear them play, which was awesome, the crowd was always on the floor, which proved that the Bands and their Music were fabulous on the Night.
The Rock and Roll/Jive Competition, had 45 couples enter, to which the 4 Judges, Trevor Myers, Charmazel Haslam, Theresa Michael & Glen Redden, had a tough time trying to pick the Winning Couple & Runners Up. The Winners for the Night were Russel & Suzanne Binny, while the Runners up were Candice Salmon & Derrick Pereira. The Winners received a Prestigious Trophy and $200 Myers Gift Vouchers, Runners Up got a Prestigious Trophy and $100 Myers Gift Voucher.
At 12.50 am we had to call it a Night due to the Caretaker, as there is a Retirement Village next door. People enjoyed the Night and were delighted with the High Quality of both the Bands, we hope to work harder to bring Better Quality Events to Sydney and that is a Promise set by Bradford Newbond.

Hi Written by ernest on 2007-08-25 19:07:39Just love it when we Anglo-Indians are together having fun at a dance. If ever (and I hope never) an epitaph is written about us, I wouldn't be insulted if it read. " They were a happy small community, originally from the Indian Sub- Continent, who loved to have fun, singing and dancing no matter where they were on the planet". God bless us all wherever we are. Ernie
