Way back in the early 1980's in St.Thomas Mount in madras we young boys would sit outside Mr.Xaviers
house and listen to his tall stories of his days in Railways during the Years of Partition and Anglo Indian
evacuation from Burma.

Here is one of those tall stories.

It was 1946 my Son and I was leading the Anglo Indians from Burma to India. We were
travelling through heavy forest and the people were all very sick and starving but
we kept walking, following the railway tracks through the forest. We were walking
and walking but no water to drink
after some time I saw one small pond down one hill, So i told all the people to wait
on the tracks and I went down to collect water. Sanna as I bent to fill the Chombu I
saw it, Big Crocodile men with its Jaws and all open. I said bad job we'll go some
where else for water. As I turned to go sanna Sitting on the hill was a tiger, Big
Bugger men,Now what to do? I picked one stone, as I threw the stone sanna Bloody
tiger jumped, I ducked and the tiger went into the crocdiles mouth. I collected my
water and went. All the people drank and said Sai, Clever fellow men. Then we started
walking again following the tracks.

Story is continued. Click the "Read More " link.

Walking Walking, Suddenly I heard one noise in Bushes sanna,Looked nicely there he
was men,Solid bugger son, Big black Rhino. Now what to do? I told the people dont
worry just say prays and I started running men. Running running the rhino was
chasing me at last I saw one tall tree with a big trunk quickly I climed the tree to
one six feet,Bloody rhino came smashed its head into the tree trunk his bloody horn
and all came of out the other side, Quickly I got down from the tree took one big
nut out of my pocket and screwed of the rhino's horn to the tree. Then went back to
the people all were Sai,thank you men and all. I just told keep walking.

Walking Walking sanna, on the tracks only suddenly the crowd started shouting men.
Looked behind me bloody hell another tiger sanna running on the track only, all the
people seperated men Bugger came straight for me men so I also started running,
Running running men nearly 4 kms on the tracks suddenly I came to one crossing son,
quickly I changed the points,Tiger buggered off on one line and I went on the other.
again people were very happy. I just told them Keep walking, told my wife dont worry
chile we'll al go Madras.Just walk.

Again Walking Walking son, now also night time, very dark so we made camp on the
tracks.Nearby was one small hillock, Suddenly sanna, Bundoo's son Bulla saw two
pairs green eyes about one four foot from each other on the hillock.I carried the
petromax and looked men, Bloody hell one Black Panther and one lion, now what to do
now if we sleep off means finished, and I had only one bullet in my gun but two
buggers men, then I got one Idea men,I told Bulla to stand and hold my knife above
his head and took out my gun, loaded and fired off men. Correctly the bloody bullet
hit the knife blade and split in two sanna, one half killed the panther the other
half the lion.

Next day itself we reached Delhi men, 24 hrs we walked from Burma to Delhi son.

TIGER, TIGER BURNING BRIGHT!!!
Written by Paul Jennings on 2006-10-04 10:06:27
This is another tall yarn, my dad was on shikar in Madhya Pradesh. "Budda boy, there I was all alone in the deep dark jungle....then I see the yellow eyes of the tiger.... I put my rifle to my shoulder and squeezed the trigger... bledy gun misfired and the bagh was on me...."

I all goggle eyed - What happened then pa?

Nothing budda, I just shoved my hand down his bledy throat right upto his tail and pulled that bugger tiger inside out!!!
LOVED IT!!

Raoul, this was good - its AI no doubt but I believe its a bit retrospective in nature as not many kids thesedays would believe it. However I enjoyed it - very thoughful of you to feature such stuff.
