One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.
In October of 2002 i took a trip to the homeland of my ancestors, yeah i am talking about those people who came over by boat to the Indian Sub-continent, They had made the long journey all the way from the northern Coast of Portugal, from a city called Porto, every one has drank port wine, well port wine comes from Porto, Portugal.
In this Blog, i am going to paint you a picture of this small, yet beautiful land. In this edition i will be talking about Porto, next i will take you south of Averio, then we will make our way to Lisbon and going to the southern tip of teh Algarve. i hope you enjoy the trip along with me.

I left Porto in the evening at about 6 pm, it took me 45 mins to to drive to Averio.
