Jeff Ewing - The 'Dr. J' Of Music!!!
Jeff Ewing, a musician in the making with a talent for 'making music'. He records his music in MP3 format for easy listening and accessibility. He has bestowed the title of "Dr J" on himself and is a one-man-band who can churn out the music with a great deal of panache. He has the ability to produce sounds that are reminiscent of standing around a piano singing old favorite's, whilst a friend with artistic skills would thump out the melody, but make no mistake; when he performs live it's reminisent of a good old fashioned "AI Jam Session". Better shine up your dancing shoes he will soon have you on your feet.
This article was used with permission from Fletch of The Anglo Indian Portal. You can read more at that site with also links to Dr. J's music. Enjoy! Click here to visit Dr. J's personal site.
On another note, I had the opportunity to interview Mr. Ewing and this is what he had to say...
Ralph Parker fits into the category of being a traditional country music artist generally associated with major overseas acts such as George Strait, Dwight Yoakam, George Jones, Merle Haggard and the late Buck Owens. Ralph is an accomplished musician who started out as a lead singer, rhythm guitarist and saxophonist for bands from 1971 when he was turned 18

Michael and Janice and Rudy - Part VIII
The Quiff, Sideburns And Rock'N'Roll
Rudy got over his jaundice and got back to school. Michael had told him about what happened between him and Janice. He said "I knew all along that you two were a bit funny, but you look good together ". Soon the two young lovers were accepted as boyfriend/girlfriend by their peers and by everyone in Royapuram, and anyway their parents were friends.Tenth standard came, bringing with it a hip shaking, snake hipped rock n roll singer called Elvis Presley. The Roman Catholic Church, labeled him the devil and the whole of the school were told, that they were not allowed to see the movie, Jail House Rock Starring Elvis/Satan, on pain of a severe caning (cuts on the palms of your hand) or expulsion.
Pepperwater is expanding its team of members and bringing in new people to help run this site successfully. Lets take this opportunity to welcome Ashwyn Fernandez & Noel Francis as our new administrators.
When Michael and Rudy passed their middle school exams, their parents bought them , a Raleigh bike each. It was like giving them the freedom of the city. They went everywhere on their cycles. Church, school, the beach, marina swimming pool, the circus, the pictures, to each others house---- everywhere. It was as if they were stuck to their saddles. In the process they became top class riders and it was'nt a surprise to see them, on sports day entered for the slow cycle race.
They reached Saidapet as it was turning dark. The whole of Little Mount was lit up. There was a fun fare in full swing, food stalls selling everything, tender coconut stalls ---- which they all decided to have. Gambling stalls, (three cups -- find the small marble) coconut shy. The screams from the kids on the merry-go-round. The blaring devotional music,on the horn loudspeakers and oddly enough, amongst all of this, a procession going towards the church. Being good Catholic boys they followed the procession to church and stayed for Benediction. After that they strolled up the hill, away from the noisy funfare and headed towards the sound of guitars and singing. Sitting round a bon fire were a lot of people, who were known to Bobby and Clive. At the top end was a large man sitting in a chair and singing, a funny song. "You remember Cedric ,said Bobby, my Dads kite tester. Thats his dad, Mr Perera ,and theres Cedric and his brother Clydo, playing guitars".
Michael and Rudy usually had their lunch sent to the school from home in a tiffin carrier, so did a lot of other students. But sometimes their parents would give them some money to eat out. Their favourite place was the Udipi cafe opposite The High Court. The choice was always the same, meda vadai or meda bonda, or sadar dosai or masala dosai, or a combination of dosais and vadais, not forgetting Iddlys. A man, would come around with a bucket of sambar and flood their plates with the stuff. Chutney used to be on the side. When they finished they would go to naidus bunk and have a soft drink and a couple of stick-jaws or cumracuts.
